Charity Golf Tournament rescheduled to November 2 due to rain.
The Upstate Credit Unions Charity Golf Tournament benefitting The Children's Hospital of Greenville Health System has been rescheduled to November 2, 2018 due to significant rain forecasted for this Friday.
This will be our sixth annual golf tournament. Last year, we raised more than $40,000. With nearly $40,000 already raised this year we hope to surpass that amount with the rain date now scheduled in November. We invite anyone interested in participating either as a sponsor or as a team/individual players to learn more and register here.
100% of the proceeds from the tournament benefit the Children’s Hospital of Greenville Health System. The money raised will fulfill part of a $150,000 pledge from area credit unions to help fund the renovation of the Children’s Hospital Pediatric Hematology/Oncology entrance and waiting area. This golf event has helped raise more nearly $300,000 since its inception, while raising a grand total of more than $450,000 during that same time through additional fundraising efforts.
Our commitment as an active and involved supporter of children is as important as ever with this combined pledge of all South Carolina/North Carolina credit unions to help with necessary improvements within the Children’s Hospital.
