Starting February 5, visitors to the Greer Branch will be treated to a mini art gallery in the branch lobby. The credit union invited students in the Communities in Schools (CIS) after-school program at near-by Chandler Creek Elementary to help brighten up the space while it is undergoing construction. More than 35 children submitted pieces with the theme “My Dream Summer Vacation” for display in the gallery.
By the end of January, users will notice a new release update to the credit union’s mobile app. This release brings a rebuilt user experience to iPhone® and Android™ smartphone apps, including an added feature that allows users to login to multiple user accounts. Other updates include account options that require fewer steps, more intuitive navigation, including iPhone and Android specific controls, and improved touch optimization of screens and controls.

Hundreds of members and community friends showed up at the Greer Branch for our Community Shred Day on September 12. Visitors lined up early to drop off items for shredding and destruction, and continued to stream through all day. Greenville Federal Credit Union, along with many other credit unions in the Upstate, completed its first Annual Golf Tournament benefiting the Children’s Hospital System at Willow Creek Golf Club in October. More than 22 teams and sponsors enjoyed a fun day of golf and fellowship. The first year event raised more than $21,000, already close to the credit union’s pledge of $25,000 over the next three years.

Pelham Road Branch celebrated its 5th Anniversary on Friday, October 12 by hosting the credit union's second annual Shred Fest. The day included B93.7’s Hawk and Tom Show on location along with many activities and refreshments for all members who attended. Shred-a-way provided not one, but two mobile shred units that destroyed all documents on the spot.
