Current Opening: Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager
Greenville Federal Credit Union is searching for a Portfolio Manager for its Commercial Services department. This position will report to the VP of Commercial Services and will be responsible for proactively monitoring and managing the risk within the Commercial Services area. Key responsibilities include identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types in addition to identifying, recommending, and implementing comprehensive strategies to best manage the risk of the department. This position will also be responsible for assisting with recommended changes to the Credit Policy and Procedures; ensuring sound underwriting principles and guidelines are maintained within the accounts monitored while ensuring they conform to all reporting and regulatory requirements; performing annual reviews of each relationship and monitor interim financial statements and industry trends; underwrite loan requests within the parameters of the policies; assisting with the management of deteriorating loans to minimize potential losses; and creating reports for senior management highlighting the portfolio performance.
- Qualified candidates should possess at least five-six years of similar or related experience in the credit risk analysis, commercial banking, business banking, portfolio management and education equivalent to four years of college or a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study. Candidates should also possess advanced analytical and critical thinking skills; the ability to communicate with internal and external members in a clear, concise, and professional manner with working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, project management and Outlook software; possess ability to think creatively, independently and accept responsibility; track record for working with and maintaining confidential and sensitive member information; and, proven ability to multitask and deliver on commitments in a highly results-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with the entire commercial loan process; formal credit analysis training from a recognized credit union or banking school; and, a professional presence and ability to comfortably partner with potential clients, members and the Credit Union Service Organization.
