Current Opening: Compliance/Audit Officer
Greenville Federal Credit Union is currently recruiting for a Compliance/Audit Officer. This position is responsible for compliance review of loans, internal documentation, employee accounts, and inactive/dormant/closed accounts; and, prepare corresponding reports for review and response. Additionally, regular review for compliance to BSA/OFAC/Patriot Act is also required as well as preparing monthly reports of such for the Supervisory Committee; and, acting as the liasion between the Committee and management. Responsibilities also include conducting surprise audits and examining branch management’s self-monitoring program documentation for adherence to policies and procedures.
Qualified candidates should possess minimum of 5 years of similar or related experience in the accounting/financial field. Three to five years experience in the audit/compliance field is preferred. Previous experience working in a credit union or financial institution is also preferred. Minimum education level equivalent to a Bachelor of Science or Arts, majoring in Accounting or Finance or a related field of study is required. Candidate should possess ability to design, test, and implement new procedures for performing controls/compliance/audit functions, as well as the ability to write routine reports/correspondence; excellent verbal communication skills to correspond with all levels of employees, other credit union departments, vendors, auditors, and credit union senior management. Candidate must possess in-depth working knowledge of MS Office suite software.
