To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. When you open an account, we ask for your name, address, telephone number, date of birth, social security number or TIN, employer, driver's license number or picture ID. We may also ask to see a copy of these identifying documents.
To open your Primary Share account at Greenville Federal Credit Union, you need an initial deposit of $30. $25 will be deposited to your Share Savings Account and $5 will be a new member fee. Your account will not be funded until membership is approved.
A member service representative will contact you within one business day of submitting your application. Membership approval cannot be finalized until we receive two forms of identification for each applicant (one unexpired photo ID, one other form of ID). Identification must be received within 14 calendar days of this application and can be taken to any branch location. Proper identification is required by law and is for your protection.
