New stimulus payments are on the way.

The federal government has begun to send the second round of economic impact stimulus payments to eligible recipients as part of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021.  See the announcement from the IRS: (external link). 

Eligible recipients may receive the funds by automatic deposit or by paper check or pre-paid debit card in the mail. As with the earlier stimulus payment in 2020, these second-round payments will either be directly deposited to accounts using information submitted to the IRS through federal tax returns or sent by mail.  

  • The credit union receives deposits from the Federal Reserve at 8:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday.

  • NOTE: If you utilized a third party for tax preparation in 2020 such as H&R Block or TurboTax, you may need to check with them on the status of your payment. 

Set an account Alert to be notified of your automatic payment.
If you expect an automatic payment to be made to your Greenville Federal Credit Union account, we recommend setting an alert in Online/Mobile banking to receive real-time feedback about changes that occur to your account balances, which can help you monitor when you receive your stimulus payment. Depositing a paper check. 
If you receive a paper check, we encourage you to utilize the Mobile App to deposit your check to your Greenville Federal Credit Union account using your Apple or Android mobile device. Mobile check deposits can be made from anywhere, at any time.
