Credit union announces Noel Jones as the November "Community Hero."

Greenville Federal Credit Union and The Greenville News announced Noel Jones as the November, 2020 "Community Hero" honoree. Jones is recognized for organizing an annual toy drive which Greenville County Sheriff's deputies then distribute out to struggling families in the community.  Last Christmas her efforts resulted in hundreds of toys being delivered to more than 60 needy children.

The credit union is pleased to recognize Noel Jones for her significant efforts to bring joy and gifts to needy children across Greenville during the holiday season with the help of the Greenville County Sheriff's deputies. Jones will be recognized at the next public in-person Greenville County Council meeting where the credit union will present her with a certificate and gift of appreciation.  
 


Do you know an unsung hero?
 

Each month nominations will be collected for candidates that work in health care, public safety, education, the military, nonprofit agencies and the business world, the religious sector, entertainment or athletics. They can be a student or a young child or a retiree, etc. The selected "Hero" will be profiled in the Greenville News and recognized at a County Council meeting.
