Greenville Federal Credit Union and The Greenville News announced Rev. James Johnson as the July, 2020 "Community Hero" honoree. Johnson is recognized for his leadership and service in the Freetown community.

Johnson will be recognized at the next public in-person Greenville County Council meeting where the credit union will present him with a certificate and gift of appreciation.  

The credit union is pleased to recognize Rev. James Johnson for the instrumental role he played in the redevelopment of Freetown.


Do you know an unsung hero?

Each month nominations will be collected for candidates that work in health care, public safety, education, the military, nonprofit agencies and the business world, the religious sector, entertainment or athletics. They can be a student or a young child or a retiree, etc. The selected "Hero" will be profiled in the Greenville News and recognized at a County Council meeting.
